At our core, Tempo Flexible Packaging is the same company that John Patterson and Joseph Giglio founded in 1970.
We are still family-owned and operated, and we still believe in forming long-standing partnerships with our clients, vendors and the community. We focus on continuous improvement and innovation – not because we must, but because we are passionate about what we do.
Most importantly, we still believe in putting our team first.
Many things have changed over the past 50-plus years. Tempo Flexible Packaging is majority female-owned and has one of the highest percentages of female employees in manufacturing in our area. We focus our research and development efforts on creating sustainable products designed for a circular economy for plastics and we prioritize environmentally friendly manufacturing practices.
As Tempo continues to evolve and improve, we are confident that the unique blend of tradition, innovation and a truly outstanding team will continue to make us a leader in the packaging industry.
Lee-Anne stepped into her role as Chief Operations Officer of Tempo Flexible Packaging in January 2021 but has been a leader of the team for almost 3 decades. Starting in a co-op placement in 1996, Lee-Anne has held many roles over the years and knows the business from the bottom up. Her in-depth knowledge has been instrumental in strategic growth planning, introducing new capabilities and technology to the production process, and working towards Tempo’s vision of being the preferred partner for sustainable and socially responsible flexible packaging solutions in North America.
As the daughter of Co-Founder and President, Joseph Giglio, Lee-Anne has continued her father’s legacy alongside her brother, Optimist & CEO Leonardo Giglio, by establishing a culture of respect, kindness, and integrity at Tempo. She has played an important role in creating space for women in manufacturing and the industry as a whole, and Tempo Flexible Packaging now has one of the highest percentages of female employees in Simcoe County.
Leonardo (Len) Giglio has been the Optimist & Chief Executive Officer of Tempo Flexible Packaging since January 2021, working beside his sister, COO Lee-Anne Giglio. Having inherited his passion for innovation from his father, Co-Founder and President, Joseph Giglio, Len is a driving force behind Tempo’s continuous improvement mindset. He is committed to rethinking flexible packaging in a sustainable manner and driving positive impact not only within the organization but also throughout the team, partners, and community.
Since joining Team Tempo in 2007, Len has held various business development and marketing roles, gaining insight into the practical and technical aspects of packaging production and understanding the specific needs of retailers and brand owners. This wealth of knowledge has contributed to the development of Tempo’s award-winning, recycle-ready solution line, HarmonyPack. An outspoken advocate for eliminating plastic waste and better end-of-life options for flexible plastics, Len serves as an active member of the Canada Plastics Pact.
Tempo has had the honor of being recognized alongside our partners for outstanding and innovative work.
